This is a substitute position and is an on-call position. Usually sub days are booked in advance. However, when staff members are out sick, you could be called in the morning. Hours are not guaranteed. Most subs works a minimum of one day per month and a maximum of 2-3 days per week.
Makakilo Baptist Church Preschool is a Christian day school ministry of Makakilo Baptist Church supported financially by the church and school tuition. The preschool is licensed by the State of Hawaii’s Department of Human Services and accredited by NECPA (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation). Our purpose is to assist preschoolers to learn and grow in developmentally appropriate ways and to establish a sound foundation for all future learning.
REQUIREMENTS:
All applicants must pass an extensive background/fingerprinting check.
• Education: Classes in child development, early childhood development or related field (be able to provide transcripts). Child Development permit preferred.

• Work Hours: Shifts available in the morning and afternoon Mon-Fri between hours of 6:30am-5:30pm.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good classroom management skills. Able to command attention of large group.
• Interact with children in a manner consistent with preschool's philosophy.
• Must have active Christian lifestyle and willingness to teach Biblical principals.
